Liu Xinyan   (Postgraduate, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia)

Talybina Elena Valentinovna  (сandidate of Philology, associate Professor, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia)

The article is devoted to the consideration of the specific forms of the verb in the Russian and Chinese languages (in a comparative aspect). The relevance of the topic is due to the need for a more thorough study of the specifics of this grammatical category in these languages. In addition, the relevance is determined by the importance of studying the grammar of the Russian and Chinese languages as special language systems with different typological characteristics. The subject of the research is the meaning and variants of the specific forms of the verb (on the example of the Russian and Chinese languages). The purpose of the research is to identify the grammatical category of the type of the verb and its semantics in the Russian and Chinese languages. On the basis of the analysis, the author draws conclusions about the non-identity of the category of the type of the verb in the Russian and Chinese languages. This creates additional difficulties not only in teaching this grammatical topic, but also in translating Chinese texts.

Keywords:specific forms of the verb; Russian language; Chinese; imperfect and perfect verb; aspectual categories.
