Nowadays, militarization processes can be observed in all spheres of society. The results of these processes are reflected in the language of the media. The article deals with the peculiarities of military vocabulary in the general aspect. Getting into sports news the military lexis shows its importance, because it contains emotional and evaluative connotations. The linguopragmatic aspect of military lexis is revealed on the example of sports news in the Spanish media.
