The article is devoted to the problem of improving correctional and developmental work with students with mental retardation of primary school age. The authors considered the possibilities of using interactive didactic aids as a means to increase the effectiveness of the development of spatial orientation skills in children of this category. The article presents the results of an experimental study aimed at developing and testing a complex of interactive educational resources (simulator, laptop) in the process of correcting the skills of orientation in space in younger students with mental retardation.
