Genres of children's folklore in the game discourse of English schoolchildren

In this article, the author notes the diversity of genres of English children's folklore in the discourse of active games. The analysis of the lexical content of each genre is carried out, its functions are determined. The research material was fragments of active games from works of fiction by English and American authors. Attention is focused on the rich potential of children's word-making.
