Research of the functions of engagement markers in the lecturer's discourse in the field of educational lectures (based on the original materials of the Russian language)

This paper examines the engagement markers of the Russian language and their corresponding pragmatic functions in the lecturer's discourse in the field of educational lectures based on the original materials of the Russian language. The purpose of the study is to reveal the features of the functioning of engagement markers of the Russian language and their subtypes in the lecturer's discourse. The scientific novelty of this work lies in the fact that we study engagement markers as a complex auxiliary communicative system with a field structure, not limited to analyzing individual discursive words. As a result of the study, the pragmatic functions of engagement markers of the Russian language in the broad sense are revealed, the applied role and frequency of use of subtypes of engagement markers in the context of educational lectures are determined.
