The media image of Turkey described via anthropomorphic metaphors

The article discusses the features of definitions of the concepts of discourse, metaphor and their differences, as well as various classifications of metaphors. The authors carry out the analysis of anthropomorphic metaphors used in Turkey’s description in the English-language media. All metaphors are divided into metaphorical models, frames and slots. The examples in English are accompanied by the translation into Russian.
