Representation of the colour cultural code "Red" in the English language

The article deals with the representation of the culture code “red” in the English language. The means of verbalization of the code are analyzed. The specific features of the semantic structure of the word “red” are singled out. The symbolic meaning of the red colour as reflected in English set expressions, terms and proper names are described.
