Features of the translation of the means of transmitting humor in T. Pratchett's work "Discworld"

The article discusses the features of the original and translation of Terry Pratchett's encyclopedia book "Discworld". Special attention is paid to the transfer of humorous means of works. From the point of view of translation studies, this text is rich in such phenomena as wordplay, realities, grammatical and stylistic transformations. It is proposed to trace how these means of expression are implemented in the original text and its translation variants. The purpose is to analyze the means of implementing humor in the texts of T. Pratchett's humorous fantasy to identify the features of his ironic and parodic nature of the genre. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the fact that it attempts to analyze a whole cycle of the author's works, the writing of which took more than a decade, and to trace the sequence of development of his unique comic code.
