Conservatism and postmodernism in modern vocal education: on the problem of the duality of social inquiry

The research is devoted to the interaction of the modern socio-cultural situation and the specifics of vocal education. Professional requirements for vocalists in the XXI century have undergone a number of changes related to the transformation of culture. In this regard, when developing the process of vocal training, it is necessary to take into account both accumulated knowledge and current trends in society that determine the appearance and content of vocal education. As a result of the research, the author comes to the conclusion that vocal education is developing on the basis of two counter–trends - the revival of conservatism and the formation of postmodern principles.
