On the method of holding a conversation club as an effective way to overcome the language barrier

The object of the study presented in the article is a conversational club held in foreign languages. According to the author, regular visits to a well-organized conversational club can help students overcome the language barrier, a phenomenon that is predominantly psychological in nature. The relevance of the topic is due to the lack of systematized methodological recommendations for organizing speaking clubs. Based on the analysis of theoretical and methodological materials on the topic of the language barrier and conversation club, as well as on the results of a survey conducted among participants in conversation clubs, its characteristic features, formats are highlighted, the role of the teacher during such a lesson is described, the specifics of correcting errors, methodological recommendations are given. on the preparation and direct conduct of the conversation club. The author concludes that classes in the format of a conversational club have great potential, which can be fully revealed with proper preparation by the teacher.
