Ways to create and strengthen the expressiveness of idioms (based on the material of the Russian and English languages)

Expressiveness is recognized as one of the main components in the structure of phraseological meaning. The article analyzes ways to create and enhance the expressiveness of phraseological units (idioms) with the help of such expressive language means as tautology, rhyme, alliteration, assonance. Examples of phraseological units of the intellectual semantics of the Russian and English languages are given.
