Leadership as a means of educational work in physical education of students

The article examines the possibilities of the psychological, pedagogical and social phenomenon of leadership as a means of educational work in the physical culture of students. The peculiarities of the manifestation of various types of leadership in the sports team of the university are revealed. The variants of psychological and pedagogical work of a teacher with formal and informal leaders in the process of physical education of students are considered.
