Flipped classroom teaching approach to the ESL students in FEFU

The paper tackles on the flipped class approach to teaching General English in blended learning environment. It refers to the results of the questionnaire analysis made within the target groups of the second-year students majoring in Economics and Management, FEFU. The article highlights the peculiarities in conducting flipped classes for the students with various language skills levels, the advantages and disadvantages of using the approach in different language aspects. The main stages of the flipped classroom approach are described, as well as the types of learning material introduction for self-study are stressed out. The article also provides the reader with the sample activities developing various language competences. The received data allow us to determine the practical use of implementing the flipped class approach within the blended learning process in the ESL classroom and to outline the further survey perspectives.
