Strategy of intersemiotic translation "Tales of the golden cockerel"

Vasilenko Lyubov Yurbevna  (associate Professor, Combined Arms Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Moscow))

We present the results of the analysis of the animated film "The Tale of the Golden Cockerel" in 1967 as a product of the intersemiotic translation of the literary fairy tale by A.S. Pushkin. We use quantitative, comparative, component and discursive-stylistic analysis, which allows to identify the strategy of intersemiotic translation as a set of transformations in the course of screening and providing objective conclusions of the study. We involve in the study the audio texts of the original fairy tale and the previous experience of intersemiotic transfer to the opera by N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov. The total volume of the empirical base in writing exceeds 3.37 p.l., in audio format – 3 hours 50 minutes of sound. We reveal the transformations of omission, additions, substitutions, which are objective, subjective, unconventional and optional. In this regard, we consider appropriation with minor modernization and simplification to be the main strategy of the film text.

Keywords: intersemiotic translation, A.S. Pushkin, translation transformation, translation strategy, free translation, appropriation.
