The way of D.P. Sivillov to sinin studies: from Beijing to Kazan

This article deals with the problem of analysis of Sinology research by D.P. Sivillov. From a historical point of view, it has been established that this stage of research by D.P. Sivillov in Sinology was the beginning of Sinology research in Russian universities. He was the first university professor of Chinese in the history of Russian Sinology. At the same time, his teaching of Chinese at Kazan University was innovative. This article also comprehensively examines and evaluates his academic achievements in Sinology. As a result of the study, we analyzed his research, enriched the content of the study of Russian Sinology and, to one degree or another, filled in the gaps in the studies of Russian early Sinology.
