Invective vocabulary in modern political discourse

The article is devoted to the study of the invective use of vocabulary with the content of the concept "stupidity", with the general meaning of "characteristics of mental abilities" in the political discourse of the media. A major role in the material under study is played by the terminological vocabulary of a medical nature with the nominations "mental disorders and diseases". Unusual combinations and functioning of the studied lexemes enhance the expressive character and increase the persuasive effect of the discourse fragment
