French-based Creole languages in the American continent

The article is devoted to the analysis of the state of Creole languages in the Americas. A review and analysis of scientific works on the formation of Creoles on the basis of European languages is presented. The processes and stages of development and formation of the Creole languages are considered, as well as a brief description of the linguistic features of the French Creoles of the territories of America and their connection with the French language are represented. Prospects for further development and preservation of Creole languages are determined.
