Assessment of physical fitness of young badminton players

The article is devoted to the consideration of the place, role and methodology for assessing physical fitness in the training process of young badminton players. Various tests are proposed to implement the required assessment, the volume and cyclicity of testing programs in relation to the training practice of young badminton players aged 9-12. The author's program for a comprehensive assessment of the physical fitness of badminton players is described, reflecting with a high degree of objectivity various aspects of the physical fitness of young athletes, specific for playing activities in badminton. The methodology for the implementation of each test and its specific focus in physical training are described in detail. Numerical criteria for evaluating the performance of each of the proposed tests have been developed differentially depending on the age and gender of the subjects. A table for a comprehensive qualitative assessment of the physical fitness of young athletes is presented.
