Comparative analysis of "Ward no. 6" A.P. Chekhov and Lu Xun's "The diary of a madman"

Since the end of the 19th century, Russian and Chinese literature have been revealing deep cultural interactions, which is demonstrated by the example of the works of A.P. Chekhov and Lu Xun. The article is devoted to the study of the creative style of two literary masters and a comparative study of the similarities and differences in “Ward No. 6” by A. P. Chekhov and “The Diary of a Madman” by Lu Xun. The most common and similar feature of the two works is the reasons that led to the madness of the main characters. And at the same time, the images of the main characters have differences in the expression of their opinions and destinies.
