Chronotope and conditions for divination.

the article discusses the features of fortune-telling among the Russian people, as well as the peoples living on the territory of Russia, in terms of the characteristics of the corresponding texts and their sacred meaning. Same the author examines the concept of «chronotope» in relation to fortune-telling and defines its features for the Russian fortune-telling tradition, the traditions of the Permians, Khanty and Tuvans. An analysis of the texts of the corresponding divinations showed that the places and times of divination are not the only conditions that determine the sacredness and effectiveness of the action, since an important condition for conducting fortune-telling is also the observance of certain rules, the presence of objects and the correspondence of certain signs. In particular, it is noted that a special organization of the text «worked» to enhance the magical effect, in particular, the presence of numerous sound, lexical repetitions, syntactic parallelism. The very same magical action in the text is often depicted with the help of verbs, the semantics of which implies the presence of some kind of interaction with the object – «scatter» or «cut». It was concluded that the study of divination in general and divination texts is of particular research interest, as it allows you to better study the history and traditions of the peoples of the country, to assess the influence of the language on divination rituals and their effectiveness.
