This research analyses the components of Education 4.0, looking at teaching methods within the framework of building meaningful skills. A systematic literature review was conducted to identify academic papers that explore contemporary skills systems; to identify teaching strategies that contain Education 4.0 components; and to consider their educational aspects. The findings allowed us to identify opportunities for creating and improving the conceptual boundaries of skills formation with the necessary Education 4.0 components in the development of future professional competences: most are learner-centred, develop competences through character dimensions, meta-learning and connect teaching with active learning strategies. Finally, insights into the design of educational models for the development of competences in automatic systems thinking, integrated comprehension, perception and analysis are presented.
Keywords:Education 4.0; active learning strategies; contextual competences; pervasive technologies; educational innovations; systems thinking.
