Lexical variation in the sociolinguistic aspect

The presented article highlights lexical variability in the sociolinguistic aspect on the example of the Magadan region. The key features of the regional vocabulary, the etymology of some words and set phrases, the ways of forming words are determined. It has been established that regional dialects and vocabulary are directly dependent on a wide range of factors and are influenced by natural and climatic features, historical factors, architecture and territorial location. The conclusion is drawn that this topic is of particular research interest for philologists and other researchers, since the dialectics of a particular region reflects key socio-economic, territorial and other features. The author also comes to the conclusion that the vocabulary of the population of Magadan as a whole coincides with the vocabulary of the peoples of the North, but it has its own characteristics.
