CONTEXTUAL USE OF OCCASIONAL TRANSFORMATION OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS IN ENGLISH LITERARY TEXTS

This article deals with individual author's transformations of phraseological units (PU) used in literary texts of modern English-speaking writers. In the result of the study the article allocates and describes the most common and frequently used types of phraseological transformations. The author notes the active use of phraseological modifications in the artistic language of a modern literature.
