the article examines the role of the historical faculty of the Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical Institute (since 1993 – the University) in the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel of the humanities profile for universities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in the 1940s-2020s. The dynamics of quantitative and qualitative changes in the teaching staff is analyzed. The contribution of the faculty to the organization of historical research and the professional formation of new generations of historians, the continuity of scientific schools is revealed. Periodization in the development of the faculty's personnel potential is given.
