FORMATION OF ENERGY TERMINOLOGY VOCABULARY

The present work is devoted to the consideration of the ways of word formation of energy terms in modern Russian language. In the early 1930s, Russian scientists began to study terminology, gradually forming their own theoretical terminological system. They were especially intensive in the last forty years, when the problematics and basic concepts of term science were formed. Analysis of word formation is important and necessary for the study of terminological units. The performed work contributes to the development of terminology and terminology, clarifies the peculiarities of term-formation. The study of lexical units in the terminological system of energy contributes to the enrichment of theoretical and practical research in a wide range of fields by combining linguistics with current international attention to energy problems. In this paper, based on the research of Russian linguists in the field of Russian word formation, three categories of ways to form energy terms are distinguished: morphological way, lexical-semantic way and syntactic way. Accordingly morphological, lexical, semantic and syntactic aspects of energy terminology are analyzed, the laws constituting new energy terminology, which will have a positive impact on understanding and creating new energy terminology, are summarized. The morphological way emphasizes the role of morphemes in words. The affixal method, formed from affixes, has a common function and meaning in the terminological system of energy in the formation of new words, and the non-affixal method aims at investigating the process of inter-transitions between words without adding affixes. The lexico-semantic method relies mainly on the phenomenon of word polysemy. The syntactic method accounts for a very large part of the expansion of the terminological system of energy. In energy terminological word combinations, the expression of relations between phenomena is achieved by combining words.
