The article considers the phenomenology of the civil war as one of the forms of military-political conflict and the role of the intervention factor in this process. In international relations, intervention is a common and widespread phenomenon. The propensity of countries to interfere in each other's affairs is regarded as an invariable feature of the international system, even as a phenomenon identical to international politics as a whole., fixed in the national culture, professionally important qualities in the images of Soviet officers, necessary for combat, are combined with human qualities, necessary in peaceful and creative life. And new generations of Soviet officers absorbed all the best qualities of the Russian invincible military spirit, which historically brought victories to Russian soldiers over enemies.
