INITIAL MEASURES FOR THE CREATION OF THE MAIN AND RESERVE MILITIA OF THE NIZHNY NOVGOROD PROVINCE IN 1812

The article is devoted to the consideration of the features and nature of the creation of the main and reserve Nizhny Novgorod militias of 1812, the definition of qualitative characteristics of mobilization measures and the analysis of class-corporate features of the era identified in the process of collecting the militia. Based on the materials of the Central Archive of the Nizhny Novgorod region and the analysis of historiographical works, the general and special features of the local militia corps at the stage of its formation are revealed
