ANALYTICAL REVIEW OF WAYS TO PROMOTE DEEP LEARNING IN HIGHER EDUCATION

The teaching and learning process in higher education is gradually shifting from basic to more substantive learning. Deeper learning methods provide opportunities for learners to maximize their learning outcomes. However, there is a lack of information on the implementation of deep learning in higher education. In this article, the authors consider deep learning for the improvement of the teaching process in higher education. In particular, the competences of deep learning are revealed, with an emphasis on the facilitation of problem solving, increasing knowledge of subject matter content, critical thinking, communication and collaboration, contextualizing learning, learning methods, sharing knowledge and skills, using digital technologies, and deep learning for 21st century skills. A comparative analysis of deep learning competences is carried out to obtain the results.
