EXPERIMENTAL VERIFICATION OF THE METHODOLOGY FOR TEACHING FOREIGN GRADUATE STUDENTS TO EXPRESS THE AUTHORIAL STANCE IN A LINGUISTIC TEXT

The article discusses the process and results of experimental verification of the methodology for teaching foreign graduate students to express the authorial stance in a linguistic text. The purpose of the experiment, the characteristics of the subjects, variable and non-variable conditions are described. The process and results of the pre-pilot test are considered. The main content, methods and techniques of teaching in the experimental and control groups are presented. The process and results of the post-pilot test are also described. A comparison of the levels of knowledge and skills of expressing the authorial stance in a linguistic text in the experimental and control groups before and after the training was made. To process the data obtained in the experiment, methods such as descriptive statistics, post hoc tests, and estimated marginal means were used. These methods were applied using the statistical software Jamovi. Analysis of the results of the experimental study confirmed the effectiveness of our methodology. The assumption about the correlation of the coefficient of the ability to understand the authorial stance in someone else's text and the coefficient of the ability to express the authorial stance in one’s own text is confirmed. Recommendations for optimizing the formation of knowledge and skills of expressing the authorial stance in a linguistic text are proposed.
