EFFICIENCY OF BLENDED LEARNING IN TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGES IN NON-LINGUISTIC UNIVERSITIES

The article analyzes the application of Blended Learning in teaching foreign languages for developing a foreign language professional communicative competence. The authors consider a "rotational" model of Blended Learning for teaching foreign languages, which combines face-to- face, distance, and e learning. The article considers the implementation of an intercultural project, which was carried out jointly with teachers and students of the Turku University of Applied Sciences in the process of teaching foreign languages. The project consisted of three stages: the first – asynchronous – structured e-mail correspondence, followed by a face-to-face block of classes. The second stage of the project was carried out synchronously – joint virtual classes with students of the Turku University of Applied Sciences on the ZOOM platform. The third stage was held face-to-face in the classroom – the presentation of the results in the form of multimedia presentations followed by a discussion. During this project, students had the opportunity to realize the importance of the practice of intercultural communication for their professional activity.
