THE PROBLEM OF ALIENATION AND SELF-IDENTIFICATION IN POST-COLONIAL FEMINIST PROSE

The article deals with the problems of alienation, hybridity, Islamic feminism and the search for identity in the post-colonial Anglo-Arab literature of writers living in Britain. Particular attention is paid to the problem of finding a new identity on the example of the main character of the novel “Translator” Sammar, written by Leila Aboulela. The paper studies the main reasons for the alienation and awareness of the new identity of a Muslim woman living in European society
