PRAGMA-STYLISTIC FEATURES OF THE PRESIDENT'S NEW YEAR'S ADDRESSES

This study reveals the stylistic features of the New Year addresses of the head of state. The material under study is the presidential speech, texts of Emmanuel Macron's New Year greetings throughout the years of his presidency. The lexical and syntactic means of expression dominating in the president's New Year speech are under the analysis. The communicative intentions of the speaker, realized by means of various stylistic devices, are demonstrated. The manipulative potential of stylistic means in the president's New Year addresses is established
