VERBALIZATION OF MANIPULATIVE STRATEGIES FOR RAISING AND LOWERING IN POLITICAL DISCOURSE

The article examines the strategies and tactics of political discourse based on the material of Donald Trump's political speech, which he delivered to the student organization Turning Point USA in Phoenix, Arizona. This article is devoted to manipulative strategies for «run down» and «praise» in political discourse, since the speeches of politicians are the main communicative space in which speech manipulation is present. The article notes that strategies are implemented through tactics that represent a certain type of implementation of this strategy. For each tactic, certain techniques are typical, which determine the process of using certain language tools. Analysis of strategies and tactics on a specific material showed that the author of the speech praises himself and uses a huge number of tools in order to highlight his importance among other competitors.
