BORROWINGS IN ENGLISH: MODERN TRENDS OF A FAMILIAR PHENOMENON

This article is devoted to the analysis of modern trends in the process of borrowing foreign words in modern English. The authors postulate the idea that despite the increased social demand for English terminology and the associated self-sufficiency of the English lexical system, the common digital environment, close contacts between states and ethnic groups inevitably lead to the assimilation of foreign language elements and their lexicalization in the English language itself.
