Petrova Oksana Olegovna  (Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Kaluga State University named after K.E. Tsiolkovsky )

The article analyzes the development of metonymic meanings of the verb "to change" and their organization in the semantic structure of this verb. It is noted that the values develop from the semantic radixoid (invariant value). They can be called quasi-synonymous, since these values are adjacent, but there is no hierarchy between them. The organization of the semantic structure of the verbal noun "change" is also described. The meanings of the verbal noun are formed in parallel with the meanings of the verb. They are also quasi-synonymous with respect to each other.
