THE WORLD OF CHILDHOOD IN THE LETTERS OF THE CHILDREN OF COUNT UVAROV

The article examines the childhood world of an aristocratic Russian family of the second half of the XIX century on the basis of personal correspondence between the children of Alexey Sergeevich and Praskovya Sergeevna Uvarov with their parents. Despite the constant employment of scientific, social, charitable activities, the Uvarovs were able to create a comfortable world full of attention and care for their children. Frank letters of children demonstrate complete trust in their parents, genuine interest in their affairs, as well as touching children's care and love.
