this article discusses the study of lexical units by reading the press in a foreign language. The purpose of this study is to identify the features of the foreign press, as well as to determine the specifics of the functioning of lexemes in the press. The proposed material may be useful for further investigation of the press and the need to study lexical units during classes. The use of authentic material increases not only interest in the subject, but also the assimilation of the material.
