A FRAGMENT OF “A MAN” IN THE ZOONYMIC LANGUAGE PICTURE OF THE WORLD OF ARABS AND AVARS

The article is devoted to a comparative analysis of the representation of a person by zoonymic phraseological units based on the material of the Arabic and Avar languages. The integral and differential features of zoonyms as part of phraseological units are considered. The metaphorical characteristics of a person in Arabic and Avar languages are based on different qualities of real prototypes. Interlingual phraseological equivalence was not found. The analysis also showed that due to the deep difference in the linguistic vision of the world by the speakers of the Arabic and Avar languages, the same prototypical sign of an animal can cause different associations in different ethnic cultures.
