PEDAGOGICAL POTENTIAL OF KAZAKH SINGING TRADITIONS IN THE FORMATION OF VOCAL-PERFORMING SKILLS OF FUTURE MUSIC TEACHERS

This study examines the pedagogical potential of Kazakh singing traditions in the formation of vocal and performing skills of future music teachers. In recent years, there has been a growing interest in traditional music and its potential for use in modern educational contexts. In particular, Kazakh singing traditions are known for their unique vocal techniques and complex melodic structures. This study examines the possibility of using these traditions to develop the vocal performance skills of future music teachers. The study uses a qualitative research approach, semi-structured interviews and observations to collect data from a sample of music education students. The data is analyzed using thematic analysis to identify key themes and patterns emerging from the responses. The results of the study show that exposure to Kazakh singing traditions can significantly improve the vocal and performance skills of future music teachers. In particular, participants noted an increase in proficiency in areas such as breath control, intonation, and expression. Participants also expressed a greater understanding of the cultural significance of traditional music and its role in shaping musical identity. The study concludes that incorporating Kazakh singing traditions into music teacher training programs can be a valuable pedagogical tool for developing the vocal-performing skills of future music teachers. In addition, the study emphasizes the importance of preserving and popularizing traditional music as a means of preserving cultural heritage and promoting intercultural understanding.
