THE FUNCTIONING OF PROPER NAMES IN THE MODERN GERMAN RIGHT-WING POPULIST DISCOURSE

This article analyzes the features of the use of various proper names in modern right-wing populist discourse in Germany on the example of informational articles taken from the official website of the main right-wing populist party Alternative for Germany (AfD). In the course of the study, the most typical types of proper names for the discourse under consideration are singled out, and their choice is explained in terms of functions and effectiveness in the implementation of political communication strategies. As a result of the analysis, a conclusion is made about the key role of certain types of proper names, in which the specificity of right-wing populist discourse is manifested.
