THE BASHKIR ESTATE OF THE BULYAR LAND VOLOST IN 1834 (ACCORDING TO VEDOMOSTI)

The article discusses the Bashkir class of the Bulyar land volost of the Orenburg province according to the "Statements on the number of yurts, villages and souls according to the 8th revision" of the canton chiefs. When compared with other sources, it turned out that, on the whole, they are not a reliable source for establishing the belonging of the “bashkirs” to the number of votchinniki or pripuskniki. The publication of Vedomosti in 1976 was carried out without a critical approach to their content and with a tendentious addition to the text.
