LINGUISTIC WORLDVIEW OF A FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHER AS AN OBJECT OF PEDAGOGICAL RESEARCH

The article is devoted to the issue of actualization of the term "language picture of the world" in pedagogical science. The author presented a brief overview of the state of the problem as a result of the analysis of scientific sources in linguistics (culturology, linguosemiotics, linguoculturology), psychology, and pedagogy. The ideas about the phenomenon of "language picture of the world of a foreign language teacher" in domestic and foreign studies are analyzed and the grounds for its actualization in pedagogical science are described. The author concludes that further research is needed in this area in order to develop more specific approaches and methods for forming a teacher's linguistic picture of the world.
