IS IT POSSIBLE TO FORM A "SECONDARY LINGUISTIC PERSONALITY"?

The article deals with the problem of the formation of a "secondary linguistic personality" in the process of learning a foreign language from the standpoint of linguistics and linguodidactics. In the triad of the structural model of the linguistic personality of Y.N. Karaulov, the author singles out the development of the "conceptual picture of the world" as the leading component, which allows a person to better understand the social reality that is alien to him. The components of the formation of such a personality are, in addition: linguistic, communicative and cultural, as well as socio-cultural competencies that form the structure of a new "linguistic picture of the world". On the example of the Spanish and Russian languages, identical concepts are given, which generally create an intercultural basis for the formation of a new picture of the world among foreign language learners, as well as non-equivalent lexical units with a pronounced connotative meaning. To form a full-fledged "secondary linguistic personality", a person must "plunge" into someone else's socio-cultural reality, which implies active communication with its representatives for quite a long time. In the educational process, we are talking only about the development of the main components of such a person.
