THE FUNCTIONING OF THE LEXEME «RESHALA» IN MODERN RUSSIAN

The purpose of the research was to study the semantic structure of the lexeme "reshala" and to establish its historical and semantic changes. The semantic structure analysis is carried out on the basis of explanatory dictionaries and dictionaries of sociolects of the Russian language. The stylistic connotation of the lexeme associated with its perception by native speakers of the Russian language is determined. Examples of its use in modern Russian are given, the nest of the lexeme is established, the connection with the jargon of the criminal world is revealed.
