The article discusses the features of the formation of youth slang. Attention is focused on the fact that gradually slang ceases to be only a slang vocabulary and turns into a common vocabulary. The influence of historical and political processes on changes in the language of the younger generation is investigated. The reasons for the penetration of slang vocabulary into the Internet and the formation of a new online communication are analyzed.
