This article is devoted to the issues of teaching intercultural competence of high school pupils. The relevance of the proposed study is due to the search for new teaching methods in the modern educational space and the need to expand knowledge of a foreign language by high school pupils. The modern stage of the development of teaching intercultural competence is reflected in changes of the modern educational system, so school graduates should be able to speak fluently about basic topics in a foreign language, be able to competently and logically build communication and be competent enough to conduct a dialogue with a representative of a foreign culture.
