DEVELOPMENT OF GENERAL PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCES OF STUDENTS OF TECHNICAL HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS DURING THE MASTERING OF THE DISCIPLINE “ENGINEERING GRAPHICS”

This article aims to reveal the potential of the university discipline “Engineering Graphics” in the process of forming the general professional competencies of future specialists. The author focuses his attention on the fact that when mastering the named subject, teachers often do not fully realize its developmental capabilities. The paper presents some educational technologies used in the practice of teaching engineering and graphic subjects to university students, which allow developing students' trans-professional skills. As a result, the author of the article suggests ways to improve the didactic and technological side of the educational process in the discipline under consideration to expand the ways of forming the general professional competencies of future specialists.
