The article studies various methods of sports training for university students, with an emphasis on increasing their level of physical activity. This is especially important in modern society, where the degree of physical activity on students is becoming less and less due to the large amount of computing work and educational tasks based on information technology. The author of the article considers various forms of training - academic, additional and self-organized. Each of these forms of learning has its own goals and priorities, and all of them are important for the holistic development of the student. Academic instruction focuses on research and academic challenges, enrichment instruction includes additional activities designed to develop skills, and self-directed learning allows students to explore what interests them most at their own pace. The article emphasizes the importance of integrating physical education and sports into the daily educational activities of students. Particular attention is paid to ways to adapt sports training to improve the professional competence of students, especially for those whose profession requires physical activity or resistance to stress. The article analyzes modern methods of sports training and identifies the most effective of them. Methods that involve active learning, such as brainstorming and problem solving, as well as methods that teach emotional regulation, stand out as the most effective. Another important topic of the article is the influence of regular physical activity on the psychological and physical state of students. The study highlights that regular physical activity helps students cope better with stress, improves concentration, and also leads to higher overall satisfaction with their studies.
