THE MAIN DIFFICULTIES IN USING ANIME AND MANGA IN JAPANESE LANGUAGE CLASSES

The article is devoted to such authentic visual aids as anime and manga. According to many researchers, they include many relevant lexical and grammatical structures, socio-cultural information, and deeply connected with traditional Japanese art. However, such a uniqueness of anime and manga hides many specific difficulties when they are used in Japanese language classes. This fact grounds the relevance of our research. In this regard, basing on anime and manga previously viewed and used in teaching practice, the main difficulties encountered when working with them are highlighted and characterized. The highlighted difficulties include such categories as many role-playing word forms, content ambiguity, highly metaphorical and specific plot, and the risk of manipulation. We also offer ways to deal with each of them.
