This article is devoted to the disclosure of the semantics of the image of love in English and German paroemias. As a result of the conducted analysis English and German paroemias were identified, in which the image of love in different manifestations is presented, a classification of paroemias is given, which includes the image of the first love, its birth, the development of relationships between a man and a woman, leading to a positive or negative interaction. Taking into account the semantics of the image of love, the algorithm for the development of relationships in English and German paroemias is built. It is concluded that thanks to the knowledge of paroemias incuding the image of love, it is possible to avoid the destruction of this delicate and fragile feeling.
